The Breitachklamm is a gorge created by the river Breitach in the Allgäu region in Southern Germany, near Tiefenbach and Oberstdorf. During the glacial meltdown in the last ice age, over 8000 years ago, the Breitach has drilled through the massive rocks. As a result, the deepest gorge in Central Europe, 2.5 km long and 150 m deep, was created, the Breitach gorge.
